Jana Forrest, DT Member Simply Crafty SVGs
After I cutout the first version of the FREE Slanted Gift Box SVG Design, it kind of looked like a tool box. I thought…I bet I could all a handle on the top and it would look like it. Sure enough. This is why I made this version and I wanted an excuse to use this Tim Holtz Idea-ology license plate paper.
I added the panels before I assembled the box.
I used my piercing tool to poke holds for my twine. I tied a not inside on each end to hold it. This twine is more rigid. I love it and have a few rolls of it from Ikea. I never saw it again, but it was a holiday item. I also added a large Fastenater staple to the front of the lid opening. If you have been around awhile, the Fastenator was a thick scrapbooking staple with stapler manufactured by EK Success. It has been discontinued. I still have a lot in my craft supplies though.
That was it! It will make a great gift box for one of the guys in my life. I hope you enjoy the free file!
Take a look at this lovely version of the FREE Fall Pumpkin Gatefold Card as designed by DT Kimberly.
She did not make just one card, but two! With the pumpkin from the SVG file, she created another shaped card, using Cricut Design Space.
For the latest free SVG, I created a simple Thank you card. Honestly, i was playing around with a design technique and decided to turn my learning adventure into a freebie for you all! Here it is…the Scallop Thanks Card. File includes an envelope to fit the card. To make the card more versatile, I also included a blank panel in addition to the Thanks panel. I want to make sure everybody can use the file, including my international friends!
It is so easy to assemble. Check out the Scallop Thanks Card Assembly video!
I used the Cuttlebug Kassie’s Brocade embossing folder for texture on the large panel.
If you like my freebies, please share this post or pin this post so you can share with others. I hope you all enjoy the file! Until next time!
To celebrate the upcoming Independence day, I created this SVG design. Make this 4th of July Tealight Holder for free.
NOTE: This SVG has been updated to make it a bit easier to assemble. Size is also slightly larger, has a version of the holder with solid scorelines and method of attaching vellum is different. If you already purchased the file, you may download the updated version by signing into your Account.
If you do not have it yet, here is the link!
NOTE: This design contains intricate cuts, so make sure you pick appropriate paper. Fibrous or really thick paper will not cut well. Each machine handles cuts differently.
This tealight is easy to assemble. Assembly instructions are included within the ZIP download. Here is an overview of the process.
After cutting out the files, piece together optional vellum inserts. You can make the box without the inserts. Use vellum or translucent paper, for best results.
Score and fold the box. Glue the vellum inserts to the inside of the box and glue on star and firecracker pieces.
Add glue/adhesive to the side tab and glue to the inside of the opposite side of the box. Fold over the side flaps and close bottom of the box, tab in. No glue is required on the bottom of the box, as I wanted to make sure this box could be stored easily. To store, simply open the bottom tab and flaps and fold flat!
It just looks cool when the light flickers! Here is what a few of mine looked like!
Go now and make some for your household or for a friend/family member. Share this info with a good friend! Happy 4th, you all!
It is time for another freebie. It is our Banana Split Card with an optional gift card insert.
This goes together quick, if you need to make a fast birthday card! Just piece together the banana split.
Add it to the shaped portion of the card. Add the word frame with your chosen sentiment. In this case, I used a Cricut Design Space “Sweet” image to complete. As noted, this is not included in the file.
Then add the attach the optional gift card holder inside for a special gift.
