Use the 3D Vintage Flatbed Truck SVG File to make a 3D vintage truck for any occasion.  This design was inspired by vintage flatbed truck in the 1930s and around that time. Shallow flatbed truck bed can be used to hold a small gift. Add any variety of fun items to the bed.  For Christmas, make a 3D tree to place in the bed, add a present for a birthday, or a pumpkin for Fall or Thanksgiving. Finished truck size is @ 10" x 4.5" x 7".

Box without panels can be cut using (4) 12" x 12" cardstock sheets for truck base and all other black features such as base/tires/axels, (2) 12" x 12" cardstock sheets for the truck hood/base features, (1) 8.5" x 12" or larger cardstock sheet for metallic features and (1) 12" x 12" cardstock sheet for flatbed. SVG files are letter-size compatible sizes, if ungrouped. Smaller paper can be used for panels and other elements. There are a few extras SVGs included in the Extra Stuff folder too.

completed the project today thank you Sandy for such a prompt response to my question. once i got that settled i was a little disappointed that the svg wasnt set up colorwise to the video truck it just makes it easier to follow. nothing i cant solve but a new person may struggle a little more. the truck came out fantastic and the free box svg i was able to add writing such as fresh produce and eggs on the carton using cricut and markers. 5/5 would recommend easy to put together and the instruction video was easy to follow.
Thanks for an amazing display piece.

amazing project!! i have made 7 of them in different colors and made whiskey barrels to put in the back.. only thing i didn’t like was the unneeded banter in the instructional video….

I made this truck for my dad and he loves it. I used red buffalo check paper for the cab. I also put in acetate in the windows. To do this I modified the way Sandy did the assembly video: I put the acetate in the front & back window and the assembled the cab before I added the outside door panels. This allowed me to still have access to the inside of the cab to make assembly easier, then I glued the external door panels with the acetate in them to the main cab and ta-da! Windows.

To give the truck bed a bit more old timey feeling I used a woodgrain embossing folder with brown paper and hit the texture with a little ink. I then glued some popsicle stick to the back of the paper, cut them out and glued them to the bed. It looks so cute.

I also made the 3 of the moving boxes to add to the back end of the truck.

I really love all of the designs I’ve made from Simply Crafty. They are so much fun to customize and they all come out looking great.

This was one of the easiest trucks I’ve ever put together! The wheels and axel make it easy to get positioned right. Your video’s are great! Thanks

    Hi,
I’m just getting ready to start this truck. Really love your patterns. I didn’t see any instructions on when to add the steering wheel and dashboard? Also love the videos they make it really easy to follow along. Thanks in advance.

Thanks. I did not include that as the base file but for those that want to add it, so it is not in the video. I would add it the time you build the cab, before you close it up. Good luck. I would love to see it finished!

I have made a few trucks in my time but this one is hands down my favourite. It’s so well designed and it assembles beautifully. I cant wait to see what other vehicles Sandy makes!
